Stamatis Tsantanis

Stamatis Tsantanis is the Chairman and CEO of Seanergy Maritime Holdings (NASDAQ:SHIP). He has more than 19 years of experience in senior shipping and finance positions. Stamatis joined Seanergy in 2012 and led its reorganization and significant fleet growth into a prominent Capesize drybulk company of more than 1.7 million dwt. Prior to joining Seanergy, he served as Group CFO of Target Marine and managed its corporate and financial strategy. Stamatis previously served as the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Top Ships Inc. from its initial listing on NASDAQ to its growth as a major tanker owner of a fleet of 2.5 million dwt. Prior to that, he was an investment banker at Alpha Finance, a member of the Alpha Bank Group, with active role in a number of major shipping corporate finance transactions in the US capital markets. Stamatis is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and holds a Master’s degree in Shipping Trade and Finance from Cass Business School in London and a Bachelor’s degree in Shipping Economics from the University of Piraeus.

Christina Anagnostara is a member of our Board of Directors since December 2008. She has more than 20 years of maritime and international business experience in the areas of finance, banking, capital markets, consulting, accounting and audit. She has served in executive and board positions of publicly listed companies in the maritime industry and she was responsible for the financial, capital raising and accounting functions. Since June 2017 she is a Director of the Investment Banking Division of AXIA Ventures Group and from 2014 to 2017 she provided advisory services to corporate clients involved in all aspects of the maritime industry. From November 2008 to October 2013 she served as our Chief Financial Officer. Between 2006 and 2008 she served as Chief Financial Officer and member of the Board of Directors of Global Oceanic Carriers Ltd, a dry bulk shipping company listed on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange. Between 1999 and 2006, she was a senior management consultant of the Geneva-based EFG Group. Prior to EFG Group she worked for Eurobank EFG and Ernst & Young, the international accounting firm. Ms. Anagnostara studied Economics in Athens and is a Certified Chartered Accountant. She is a member of various industry organizations including ACCA, Propeller Club, WISTA, Shipping Finance Executives and American Hellenic Chamber of Commerce.”

Dimitris Anagnostopoulos has been a member of our Board of Directors since May 2009 . He  has over forty years of experience in Shipping, Shipfinance and Bank Management. His career began in the 1970's at the Athens University of Economics and Business followed by four years with the Onassis Group in Monaco. Mr. Anagnostopoulos also held various posts at the National Investment Bank of Industrial Development (ETEBA), Continental Illinois National Bank of Chicago, the Greyhound Corporation, and with ABN AMRO, where he has spent  two decades with the Bank, holding the position of Senior Vice-President and Head of Shipping. Since 2010 he is also an advisor and Board Member in the Aegean Baltic Bank.  Mr Anagnostopoulos  has been a speaker and panelist in various shipping conferences in Europe, and a regular guest lecturer at the City University Cass Business School in London , the Athens University of Economics and Business  and the ALBA Graduate Business School . He is a member (and ex vice chairman) of the Association of Banking and Financial Executives of Greek Shipping and an Associate Member of the Institute of Energy of South East Europe. He was in 2008 named by the Lloyd's Organization as Shipping Financier of the Year.

Presently and from 1999, President and principal of Equity Shipping Company Ltd. a company specializing in setting up, managing and operating commercial and technical shipping projects.

From 1997 to 1999 director of Kassian Maritime Shipping Agency Ltd. and Point Clear Navigation Agency Ltd. and principally in charge of relocating and restructuring Pappadakis family shipping Trusts. During that time was instrumental in opening the Chinese shipbuilding market to Greek shipping as helped structure technically and commercially the first Panamax bulkcarrier to be built in Shanghai that subsequently became the prototype for over 40 subsequent orders for Greek shipping.

From 1971 to 1997 director and technical director of Kassos Maritime Enterprises Ltd. Actively participating in all shipping ventures, operations and being responsible for a large fleet of panamax, aframax, and VLCC tankers as well as overseeing specifications and construction of newbuildings.

From 1971 to 1981 director of Off Shore Consultants Inc, and Naval Engineering Dynamics Ltd which were related to Off Shore Oil Company (UK) Ltd. During that time pioneered the design and construction of seven FPSO’s that were subsequently utilized by Pertamina, ARCO, Total and Elf-Aquitaine. Also supervised the construction of a Pentagon type drilling platform as being associated with the only Greek interest company at the time to venture in this business.

Naval Engineering Dynamics Ltd purchased, rebuilt, operated and resold over 15 vessels during that time.

From 1966 to 1981 Naval Architect for A. G. Pappadakis Co. Ltd, London responsible for Tanker and bulkcarrier newbuildings as well as supervising technical operation of the fleet.

1961 to 1966 at Kings College, University of Durham, Newcastle Upon Tyne graduating in Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding.

John Kartsonas is the Principal and Managing Partner of Breakwave Advisors LLC., a commodity-focused advisory firm based in New York. Prior to that, John was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Carlyle Commodity Management from 2011-2017, a commodity-focused investment firm based in New York and part of the Carlyle Group. He was responsible for the firm’s Shipping and Freight investments. During his tenure, he managed one of the largest freight futures funds globally. Prior to his role, John was a Co-Founder and Portfolio Manager at Sea Advisors Fund, an investment fund focused in Shipping. From 2004 to 2009, John was the leading Transportation Analyst at Citi Investment Research covering the broader transportation space including Shipping. Prior to that, John was an Equity Analyst focusing on Shipping and Energy for Standard & Poor’s Investment Research. John received his MBA from the Simon School of Business, University of Rochester.

Theodora Mitropetrou has served as our General Counsel and Corporate Secretary since 2008. She has fifteen years of shipping law experience and over ten years of acting as an in-house lawyer to US-listed shipping companies, with extensive knowledge in shipping, corporate, commercial and finance law. Between 2006 and 2008 she worked as Legal Counsel for Top Ships Inc.; between 2001 and 2006 she practiced with respected shipping law firms advising shipowners and lenders. Mrs. Mitropetrou is a member of the Athens Bar Association and she is also a Board Member of the Bahamas Shipowners Association. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Law, LLB, from the University of Wales and a Master of Laws, LLM, in Maritime Law from the University of London (UCL).
